Learning: A Transitions in Leadership Seminar

Transition to Management (I)

It is easier to be "fired" by those below you than those above. When they fail, you fail; when they succeed, you succeed.

The role of manager is complex. You can no longer rely on your technical expertise or dedication to your job to get ahead. Your success depends on the success of others.

Find your formula for success. Learn the latest concepts, ideas, and practices from today's leading experts on the human dynamics of management. Explore new ways to receive the feedback necessary to succeed in a new environment, with management matrix, or cross-functional teams.

The two day seminar, TRANSITION TO MANAGEMENT I, followed by the one-day TRANSITION TO MANAGEMENT II, introduces proven techniques and practical applications to support leadership development.

SEMINAR PREPARATION

To prepare for the initial program, a member of MTM interviews key staff to understand the organization's management style, reporting networks, evaluation processes and operating procedures. Role plays, case studies and support materials are created that reflect your business, culture, and mission. TRANSITION TO MANAGEMENT captures the unique diversity of your organization by gathering employees from all functions, locations and levels.

SEMINAR CONTENT

A cross-section of new and experienced managers are immersed in actual management situations. Participants establish new relationships and apply interpersonal communications skills, developing greater unity toward company goals, culture and mission. This is the opportunity to test newly learned management techniques in group problem solving exercises as well as share current performance issues:

SEMINAR TOPICS

Seminars are limited to a maximum of sixteen participants to ensure ample opportunity for discussion. Each program is updated frequently to incorporate actual events and respond to changing corporate structures and environments.

MANAGEMENT RECOGNITION BOOSTS MORALE

Conduct TRANSITION TO MANAGEMENT as part of a recognition program held at your company's headquarters or supported by key company representatives at an off-site conference. Individuals chosen to receive support for their career advancement take pride in their selection and participation.

MTM provides the resources to ensure that you maximize your training investment.
