PRISM: Provide each member of your group with the opportunity to visually show their many sides—their interests, dreams, hobbies, and the source of inspiration.
Today’s groups and teams must often be formed quickly and immediately immersed in problem solving and taking action. Trusting others without having the opportunity to understand their perspective can be difficult; we rarely have the time to learn more about others than how they function at the task assigned to them. To create a trusting and supportive environment, it is imperative that all members of a team understand each others values and interests: the factors that bind us together. The PRISM workshop encourages the development of personal relationships. Using simple craft materials and with the strong facilitation of Dr. Maddalena, all members of your group will have a equal and prominent role in the program. Combining the workshop with a luncheon or meeting, you can provide a forum for members to create the connections needed to successfully network and make effective decisions.
PRISM workshop members begin by working privately, becoming engaged in the construction of a personal ‘flag’ that is a pictorial representation of who they are and what they have to contribute. Each flag becomes part of the creative mosaic that visually represents how your members are connected into a group with a vital mission. All members gain a renewed understanding of their role, respect for other members, and most importantly – a commitment to the group’s success.
PRISM Success stories are available from:
- Regional business teams in the throes of immediate expansion while moving to a global environment;
- Newly elected officials and board members seeking to establish networks;
- Community organizations seeking to develop leadership by involving volunteer members.
